A limited-edition from the Aultmore distillery in Speyside, launched as part of their Marsala Wine Cask Collection with each release matured for 15 years, including a finishing period in one of three styles of Marsala, a fortified Sicilian style of wine from Italy. This particular expression was finished in Marsala Superiore Ambra Secco casks which imbue the delicate, herbal character of Aultmore with notes of walnuts, mandarin, and figs roasted in honey. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46%. (Bottle size 70cl)

WB NOTE:

We are big fans of Aultmore spirit, and there is not enough of it available, IMHO, so it is great to see this range from the distillery, and definitely offers something geeky for those looking to better understand the impact of various Marsala wines on whisky.
