We know the worry and anxiety that online shopping can cause while you wait at home for your order to arrive. It is because of this that we take the role of delivery seriously, and have since 2016 when we first opened an online whisky store.

If a product is available to purchase online, that means we have stock (no drop-shipping or just-in-time ordering) and every order is packed by our team at our shop in Dufftown, Scotland.

So, if you are uneasy about buying whisky online or have just discovered us (welcome!), there is no need to worry; our system only allows you to order a product if we have physical stock of it, our orders are packed securely to avoid breakages, and every package is insured at our expense in case something goes wrong. You will never be out of pocket; our responsibility ends only once you have received your order, even if the courier makes an error that is out of our hands.

PACKAGING

Every order is carefully packed by our experienced team at our Dufftown shop, using reliable, protective packaging designed specifically for alcohol shipping. We take great care to ensure your whiskies arrive safely and in condition they left us in. For added reassurance, all shipments are fully insured against loss or damage during transit.

ORDER PROCESSING

We aim to pack your order within 8 working hours of receiving it. At the same time, we will schedule DHL to collect your parcel. DHL generally collects parcels on the next working day, excluding weekends and public holidays.

We current ship to UNITED KINGDOM and SOUTH AFRICA.

SHIPPING TO SOUTH AFRICA

We offer reliable shipping to South Africa via DHL Express. Once your parcel has been collected, you will receive a tracking number and link to monitor its journey in real time, ensuring full visibility every step of the way.

TIMEFRAMES

Based on our experience, shipping to South Africa typically takes 8 to 14 days from collection. However, delivery times may vary depending on flight availability, cargo load, and the response time for local duties and VAT payment. DHL will contact you directly to advise the amount due and facilitate payment. Please note that your parcel cannot be delivered until duties and VAT (currently 15%) have been settled.

SHIPPING COSTS

Indicative shipping rates to South Africa are outlined above. These are calculated based on volumetric weight. A standard 70cl (700ml) bottle with standard packaging typically falls within these tiers. However, larger bottles or items with heavier packaging may incur higher shipping costs. Our checkout system automatically calculates the precise shipping charge based on the weight of the items in your order, which you can review before finalising your purchase.

BOTTLE LIMIT

DHL limits each shipment to South Africa to a maximum of six (6) bottles. If you would like to order more than six bottles, you will need to place multiple separate orders. Each order will be processed and shipped individually, with its own shipping fee and tracking number. Should you need assistance with larger or multiple orders, our team is happy to help coordinate.

COLLECTIONS

If Dufftown isn't too far away from you, or you are planning to visit soon, we are more than happy to hold your order for up to 3 months at no additional charge. We have limited space and are not a storage company, thus unfortunately, after three months a £5/month fee will be charged and due for payment, before you can collect.
