First released in 2010, this whisky was chosen by songwriter Douglas Maclean, and named after his song “Caledonia”. Matured exclusively in ex-Oloroso sherry casks and produced in small batches on an annual basis. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46%. (Bottle size 70cl)

Nose: Sweet, creamy and honeyed, with notes of Manuka honey, hints of dried fig and date, soft sherry and a hint of oak.

Palate: Rich, with nutty toffee, lots of raisins, dates, honeyed fruit, polished leather and a hint of tobacco. 

Finish: Good resinous grip on the finish to balance the sweetness. Spicy, dry and sprinkled with a dusting of cocoa.
