Mesmerise is a limited release from the Loch Lomond distillery in the Highlands, with their Inchfad spirit, by independent bottler Simply Whisky as part of their Simon range. The name references the moments that stop you in your tracks, focusing you in on your experience. The taste of some whiskies can do that too…time seems to slow down. Distilled on 13 April 2007, matured for 17 years, initially in an ex-bourbon barrel before being finished in a Pedro Ximénez octave for 16 months, and bottled on 3 July 2024. Only 83 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at a cask strength of 54.6%. (Bottle size 70cl)

Nose: Pralines, melon, treacle and muscovado sugar. Candied orange slices and a seaside vibe.

Palate: Grassy fields, toffee popcorn, and an interplay of peat and lime. Espresso macchiato. A cigar butt gently breathes its last.

Finish: Warmth with cinnamon, milk chocolate and tea leaves. After a while lobster shells.
