DESCRIPTION

A small batch release from the Mortlach distillery in Speyside, bottled by independent bottler Gordon & Macphail in their Distillery Labels range. Matured for at least 25 years in first-fill and refill sherry casks. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46%. (Bottle size 70cl)

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Rich sherry notes combine with delicate fruitcake and elements of ginger. Bright baked apples and citrus peel are balanced by a hint of beeswax polish.

Palate: Autumnal spices and juicy orange undertones complement stewed summer berries. A hint of black pepper develops to treacle and roasted hazelnuts.

Finish: A long, fruity and spicy finish with lingering almonds.
