Friday Night is a single cask release from the Mortlach distillery in Speyside, by independent bottler Simply Whisky as part of their Franchi range. Its name was inspired by looking forward, winding down and rewarding yourself at the end of the week! Distilled in 2013, matured for 9 years in an ex-sherry butt and bottled in April 2023. Only 279 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered and bottled at 48.8%. (Bottle size 70cl)

Nose: Toffee, lemon zest, Montmorency cherries and leather. Melange of strawberry and blackberry jam.

Palate: A fruity burst of flavour atop luxuriant treacle, sultanas and coconut.

Finish: Delights on the finish, hot espresso and dark chocolate. Savoury and slightly drying. Tobacco leaves. 30 seconds later...crème caramel.
