Released in 2012 and the first bottling with an age statement, Old Ballantruan is a peated single malt produced at the Tomintoul distillery in Speyside. Crafted from heavily peated barley and matured for 10 years in ex-bourbon casks. Non-chillfiltered and bottled at 50%. (Bottle size 70cl)

Nose: Gently spicy with smokey “peat-reek” deliciously balanced by a sweeter creamy core.

Palate: Some gentle peaty smokiness equipoised with a sweet, creamy, malty backbone.

Finish: Climbing finish of sweetness gradually replaced with smoky depth.
