DESCRIPTION
The Botanist Islay Dry Gin is distilled on Islay at Bruichladdich Distillery. Twenty-two hand-foraged island botanicals delicately augment nine classic gin botanicals, slow-distilled in the distillery’s unique Lomond still, “Ugly Betty.” The result is a complex, island-driven gin often described as the first Islay dry gin. Bottled at 46%. (Bottle size 70cl)
TASTING NOTES
Nose: Fresh, herbal lift with juniper and sweet citrus; opens to gentle spice (cassia, coriander) and green notes of wild Islay herbs (mint, thyme, gorse, chamomile).
Palate: Satin-smooth and balanced; cool entry then warming, with citrus brightness over layered floral, herbal, and subtle earthy tones from the 22 botanicals.
Finish: Relaxed and long; soft juniper supported by water mint, hawthorn, wood sage, sweet cicely, and a delicate spice, all carried on a silky texture.
