DESCRIPTION

Wolfburn Cask Strength is the distillery’s core cask strength expression, first introduced in 2018 as Langskip and later rebranded under its current name. The whisky is matured in a combination of Oloroso sherry butts and ex-bourbon quarter casks. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at a cask strength of 56.9%. (Bottle size 700ml)

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Fresh bourbon aromas are softened by sweet sherry essence, with hints of toffee and caramel.

Palate: Chocolate truffles meet sticky toffee pudding and trifle sponge, overlaid with gentle peat smoke. Rich and full of flavour.

Finish: Caramel sweetness with toffee and demerara sugar, with a trace of peat smoke lingering until the very end.
