Kilkerran Single Malt Whisky

Kilkerran Single Malt Scotch Whisky is produced at the Glengyle Distillery in Campbeltown, which was originally founded in 1872 by William Mitchell, a member of the family behind Springbank. After closing in 1925, the distillery lay silent for nearly 80 years until it was revived in 2004 by J&A Mitchell & Co., owners of Springbank. The first modern distillations were laid down that year, and Kilkerran re-entered the market in 2007 with the “Work in Progress” series, charting its journey towards a core range.

In 2016, the Kilkerran 12 Year Old was launched as its flagship expression, followed by further aged releases such as the 16 Year Old. Production remains small scale, using traditional methods and direct ties to Springbank for both ownership and ethos, with a focus on natural presentation and Campbeltown’s characteristic lightly peated, maritime style.
