Little Brown Dog Independent Bottler

Little Brown Dog is an independent bottler and micro-distillery based in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Established in 2018 by vet and whisky enthusiast Andrew Smith and farmer Chris Reid, the company combines a passion for their local area with extensive knowledge of distilling and cask maturation. Named after Andrew's beloved dog, who was a constant companion on distillery visits, Little Brown Dog Spirits is dedicated to bottling high-quality, unique whiskies.

Producing local gins and botanical spirits, the distillery operates with a 10-litre copper pot still, called the "wee dug" and a 350-litre still for rectification. They have customised their equipment to extract the best flavours from botanicals and carefully monitor the maturation process in their on-site warehouse.

Little Brown Dog Spirits focuses on selecting the most interesting single casks and providing as much detail and transparency to their products as possible.
