DESCRIPTION

A UK-exclusive, limited-edition experimental cask release produced as a collaboration between Lochlea distillery in the Lowlands and Glasgow-based craft brewery, Overtone Brewing Co. Lochlea provided Overtone with three bourbon barrels, two STR barriques, and one Oloroso sherry butt from their core expression, Our Barley. The brewery then matured their double mash stout in these casks for six months before returning them to Lochlea. The production team filled the stout-seasoned casks with Our Barley for one year, selecting three casks to create their first stout cask finish. 1,500 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 52%. (Bottle size 70cl)

OFFICIAL TASTING NOTES

Nose: All butter shortbread, tropical fruit, macadamia nuts.

Palate: Sweet toffee, toasted barley.

Finish: Long and silky, moreish fruit and cereal notes.
