DESCRIPTION

A limited edition release from the Benromach distillery in Speyside, part of their Contrasts series which explore flavours beyond the distillery's signature subtly smoky and sherried style. Crafted using unpeated high enzyme malted barley, a type of grain more commonly associated with grain whisky distilling. Distilled in 2012, matured for 12 years in first-fill bourbon barrels and bottled in 2024. Bottled at 46%. (Bottle size 70cl)

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Delicate lemon sherbet, malted barley and green apple, with underlying notes of jasmine.

Palate: Sweet and creamy with pink grapefruit, lemon and lime. Pineapple gives way to honeycomb and spicy pepper.

Finish: Long and fresh with charred oak and peppermint.
