DESCRIPTION

Higher Ground is a single cask release from the Braeval distillery in Speyside, bottled by independent bottler Uncharted Whisky Company. Distilled on 14 August 2014, matured for 10 years in a first-fill Oloroso sherry barrique and bottled in April 2025. Only 612 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at a cask strength of 55%. (Bottle size 70cl)

OFFICIAL TASTING NOTES

Nose: A classic sherry bomb. Bright and fruity distillate lying under the cover of rich butterscotch and sticky toffee pudding.

Palate: Rich and generous with sticky dates, cinnamon swirl pastry and melted vanilla ice cream.

Finish: Gentle and slow to leave with butterscotch oozing off the palate to reveal oak and the waft of a spice cupboard.
