DESCRIPTION

A limited release whisky produced at the Edradour distillery in the Highlands. Distilled in 2010, matured in ex-bourbon casks then finished for 33 months in Quinta de São Francisco fortified wine casks, before being bottled in 2025. Quinta de São Francisco is a sweet fortified dessert wine produced by José Maria da Fonseca, one of Portugal’s oldest wine producers, founded 1834, typically made from local red grape varieties. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 57.7%. TASTING NOTES

Nose: Dried figs, black cherry and dark chocolate, with walnut, leather and a touch of tobacco leaf.

Palate: Bold and velvety with plum compote, spiced fruitcake and roasted hazelnuts, balanced by oak tannin and wine-soaked richness.

Finish: Long and warming, with lingering red berries, molasses and gentle cinnamon spice.
