DESCRIPTION

Lagmore 10yo is a Speyside blended malt, which is more accurately a "teaspooned" single malt from a single estate distillery - of which there are not many, so guesses are welcome. Matured for 10 years in first-fill bourbon barrels. Non-chillfiltered, naturally colour and bottled at 48%. (Bottle size 700ml)

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Fresh orchard fruits of pears and apples, with sweet notes of tarte tatin and vanilla custard.

Palate: Bright and nostalgic sweetness, combining baked fruits and soft vanilla, with a touch of malted biscuit.

Finish: Lingering orchard freshness with gentle sweetness, capturing the character of a golden Speyside afternoon.

NOTES FROM THE WB TEAM

A teaspooned malt is a single malt with a very small amount of whisky from another distillery added, usually just a teaspoon. This prevents it being sold as a single malt from the original distillery and instead classifies it as a blended malt. The practice is used to protect the distillery’s brand when casks are sold to independent bottlers and brokers.
