Released in 2018, Old Ballantruan is a peated single malt produced at the Tomintoul distillery in Speyside. Crafted from heavily peated barley and matured for 15 years in ex-bourbon casks. Non-chillfiltered and bottled at 50%. (Bottle size 70cl)

Nose: Gentle "peat-reek" with mild gun-flint notes softened by sweet, mature, creamy Speyside malt. Hints of herbal-heathery spice.

Palate: The smokiness is very apparent yet soft and tempered with toffee sweetness and gentle oaky spice.

Finish: Superb balance of soft smoke, sweetness and spice in an endless labyrinth.
