DESCRIPTION

First released in 2020, the Kilkerran 16 year old is an annual release, produced at the Glengyle distillery in Campbeltown. The 2025 edition was matured in a combination of 60% bourbon and 40% sherry casks. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46%. (Bottle size 70cl)

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Prunes, marzipan and orange-infused chocolate.

Palate: Maraschino cherry syrup, liquorice, dates, star anise and gentle peat smoke, with cinnamon toast.

Finish: Sea salt, hazelnut, mint and morello cherries.

NOTES FROM THE WB TEAM

Long-time Kilkerran fans will notice this release has returned to the traditional ‘tall and round’ bottle, first used for the early Kilkerran bottlings. In more recent years, the Springbank-style bottle was adopted as the standard. This reversion is temporary and will remain in place until supply of the Springbank bottle is available again, following a shortage caused by a fire at the glass factory that produces it.
