An single cask, cask strength release from the Mortlach distillery in Speyside, bottled by Signatory independent bottlers, exclusively for the Whisky Capital Inn (WCI), here in Dufftown. Distilled on the 18th of January 2011, matured for 12 years in an ex-bourbon hogshead and bottled on 24th of April 2023. Only 278 bottles were produced. Naturally coloured and bottled at a cask strength of 56.3%. (Bottle size 70cl)

NOTES FROM THE WB TEAM

We suppose you could call this a "disclaimer", but in fact its just added info for the curious. The Whisky Capital Inn (formerly known as the Commercial Hotel), which sits directly behind us on adjacent Church Street, is owned and operated by the WhiskyBrother team. This release was done exclusively for the hotel, but since we are all part of the same family, we have the added privilege of being able to retail it.

The image on the label, which Signatory kindly agreed to customise for us, is taken on Church Street in the 1940s/50s, looking towards the iconic clock tower with the hotel visible on the left. And of course, the first release had to be from Mortlach, the closest distillery to us, less than 400m away!
