DESCRIPTION

A permanent release from the Lochlea distillery in the Lowlands, released in 2025 as a new addition to Lochlea’s Single Estate core range. Matured in a combination of red wine casks and refill bourbon barrels that previously matured an undisclosed peated whisky. Produced entirely on site in Ayrshire from the distillery’s own barley, distilled and matured on the Lochlea farm. Non-chillfiltered, naturally colour and bottled at 46%. (Bottle size 70cl)

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Sweet red berries, flowers in bud, cherry blossom, lemon peel, and soft smoke.

Palate: Salty sea smoke, fresh cut oak, bonfire char, light citrus, light delicate fruit, a hint of sherbet.

Finish: Light char, soft blossom, gentle to finish, and fresh phenols.
