DESCRIPTION
Released in 2025 as the second instalment in the Sinteis Series. Sinteis (pronounced sin-teesh) meaning ‘synthesis’ in Scottish Gaelic, and the collection explores the relationship between virgin oak and sherry casks, with each release featuring a dual-cask maturation, pairing an unusual virgin oak cask with a classic sherry counterpart. This release was distilled in 2015, and matured for 9 years in Scottish virgin oak and Oloroso sherry casks. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured, and bottled at a cask strength of 58.2%. TASTING NOTES
Nose: Mocha, grilled honeycomb and sun-dried red berries, with cinnamon butter, toasted lemon peel and muscovado sugar.
Palate: Heather honey, citrus and warmed baking spices, followed by gingersnaps, poached orchard fruits, mocha and vanilla buttercream on the finish.
Finish: A warm, enduring finale of mocha and vanilla buttercream, underscored by sweet oak and a gentle spice that lingers on the palate.
