DESCRIPTION
Launched in 2025, A Tale of Spices is the 6th instalment in Glenmorangie’s annual A Tale of series. Inspired by the vibrant colours and flavours of Moroccan spice markets, Director of Whisky Creation Dr Bill Lumsden and Master Blender Gillian Macdonald used whiskies matured in Moroccan red wine, new charred oak, Pedro Ximénez sherry and shaved toasted red wine casks. Non-chillfiltered and bottled at 46%. (Bottle size 70cl)
TASTING NOTES
Nose: Spicy, sweet and perfumed with rose, carnation, jasmine, lilac and a myriad of spices including cumin, saffron, nutmeg, ginger, chilli and anise, alongside sweet oak and chestnut.
Palate: Bursting with sizzling spices — ginger, black pepper and mustard seed — balanced by mint toffee, demerara sugar and sugar-coated almonds. Lifted by eucalyptus, leading into clove, leather and peppermint.
Finish: Lingering spice with sweet oak, herbal freshness and gentle warmth.
