DESCRIPTION

A "teaspooned malt" from an undisclosed Speyside distillery, bottled by Little Brown Dog. Distilled in1989, matured for 36 years in a refill hogshead, and bottled in July 2026. Only 321 bottles produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at a cask strength of 47.6%. (Bottle size 70cl)

NOTES FROM THE WB TEAM

A teaspooned malt is a single malt with a small amount of whisky from another distillery added before bottling; nominally a teaspoon, hence the name. That tiny addition legally reclassifies it as a blended malt, which stops it being sold under the original distillery's name while leaving the character untouched. Burnside is the name traditionally used for teaspooned Balvenie, made with a dash of Glenfiddich — and, well, this is Burnadjacent. Technically a blended malt; in practice, Balvenie in all but name.
