NOTES FROM THE WB TEAM
Ichiro's Malt Card Series is one of the most coveted collections of Japanese whisky in the world. The series was created by Ichiro Akuto, the grandson of the founder of the Hanyu distillery; after the distillery closed in 2000, he rescued the remaining casks and began bottling them in 2005.
The series consists of 58 releases, each displaying one of 52 playing cards on the label plus two jokers, and a second batch of follow up releases to the original 2005 Ace of Spades, Queen of Hearts, King of Diamonds, and Jack of Clubs bottlings. The rarity and quality of these whiskies have made them legendary among whisky enthusiasts.
